SHU AMSTERDAM: PREMIUM NIGHTLIFE EXPERIENCE WITH L-ACOUSTICS
When SHU Amsterdam opened in June 2024 as a high-end cocktail bar and nightclub, the sound system was an integral part of the design from day one. During the renovation phase, we visited the location, consulted with the interior designers and owners, and performed Soundvision simulations to fine-tune the audio system for both lounge moments and club nights.
As a Certified Provider Distributor of L-Acoustics, we delivered a complete L-Acoustics X Series installation in collaboration with Air Light at the opening. In the lounge, five 5XT coaxial point source speakers create a balanced sound; in the bar and VIP zone, X8i speakers and SB15m subwoofers deliver the characteristic L-Acoustics sonic signature—natural, dynamic, and powerful—for the ultimate club sound; an additional 5XT serves as a DJ monitor. Driven by LA4X and LA2Xi amplifiers, each speaker offers fully integrated DSP power.
Thanks to our early involvement, the installation went flawlessly, and SHU delivered a seamless audio experience from day one, with no surprises afterwards. “The L-Acoustics system is the beating heart of our venue,” says co-owner Giovanni de Capitani.
